Sargeant Alexander Blackman received a life sentence for murder in 2013.
He was convicted for killing a wounded Taliban fighter in Afghanistan, 2011 whilst he served for the Royal Marines. Having served three and a half years in prison, yesterday Blackman received news that he will be freed in a number of weeks after his conviction was reduced to manslaughter.
